We live in a corrupted system. The way to tackle corruption is to first acknowledge it exists. Only then is it possible to come up with ways of dealing with it, but don't make the mistake of believing the system can or will uncorrupt itself.

Australia – Penal Colony 2.0

With all the off-the-charts hysteria and aggressive dictatorship-style laws and enforcement from the Australian Government so far, despite the very small numbers of what they are calling COVID deaths, mostly of people in their 80s you could be forgiven for thinking they couldn’t top what’s happened already. What else could they possibly do that would be worse?

Well it should be clear by now, Governments never fail to achieve new lows. Admittedly it could be argued that it would be hard to top pepper-spraying young girls, or letting babies die, and you would be right about that. What? they’d never do things like that, surely? There’s no way a Government in a “free and democratic society” would pepper-spray children, or let babies die deliberately, right? Wrong.

Here is a video of Australian Police aggressively arresting a 12 year-old girl who’s shopping with her young friends, for the crime of not wearing a mask. One of her friends manages to record part of the incident on her phone, and as she points out the various Police and people around not wearing masks, the situation naturally escalates. As the girls are crying and scared by Police, pepper spray is deployed. One of the Police comes up to the girl filming, not wearing a mask, and tells her to do something, while her 12 year old friend lays on the ground being arrested for not wearing a mask.

If you still think this is all OK, and this is about a virus, I don’t know what to tell you. If you’re not shocked at that blatant overly-aggressive use of inappropriate force over something that is not even wrong, it might be a good time to check yourself for a pulse.

But they disobeyed The Rules, so it’s their own fault some might argue. Masks are there to protect you and others the COVID Disciples will say. Well masks actually provide no protection and this has been proven. That topic is outside the scope of this article but one is on the way. If you think arbitrary rules dreamt up by anti-science tyrants need to be obeyed, then of course you are entitled to your opinion, even though it is morally repugnant. Babies left to die though, what rules did they break? Yes, that actually happened all the way back in 2020 and is probably still happening but because it doesn’t fit a narrative (e.g. babies, incubators, weapons of mass destruction) it is not worldwide news, and where it is reported it is turned into an economic and political argument.

In October 2020 the Australian media outlet 9 News published an article titled “Push for new services after four babies die in a month in Adelaide”. This headline is deliberately phrased to not attract the attention it deserves. It is made to sound like a lack of services regrettably led to the four babies dying, and in a disingenuous way that is true. If you read the article it hints at the real problem in these instances…

Adelaide is the only mainland Australian capital that doesn’t provide paediatric cardiac surgery.

The problem has been exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic because medical transfers to Melbourne are off the table and patients must be sent to Sydney instead.

Obsetrician Professor John Svigos said four babies who had died in Adelaide in the past month had been unable to be transferred and would have “almost certainly” benefited from on-site surgery.

Yes, those babies died because of interstate travel restrictions to Melbourne, the closest place where a hospital that could have helped but was “off the table”. Do you know what else should be “off the table”? Deliberately letting babies die because of a fictional pandemic and totalitarian Rules about travelling. What makes this worse is that this kind of tragedy was entirely predictable. As the news report says there are around 100 babies per year that need to be sent to hospitals in other states because Adelaide is the only state does not have the facilities to help.

Those babies were left to die, by doctors obeying Rules on travel restrictions. Even if you believed the pandemic is real, you would then presumably also believe that the vaccines work, and masks work. There was obviously a way of getting those babies to the appropriate and closest hospital “safely” but they just didn’t do it. Four times. That’s four times that have been reported and we know about.

This is not about saving lives, protecting the public, a deadly virus or anything else other than brute-force tyranny. It can’t be about saving lives otherwise we wouldn’t see doctors letting babies die for the sake of Rules. It’s the Rules that are the important thing for the Australian Government. They want to make sure the public obeys the Rules, no exceptions, so they are now piloting a new scheme that China would be proud of. The Atlantic reported on 2nd September 2021 in an article titled “Australia Traded Away Too Much Liberty” about a new app being trialled in South Australia. From the Atlantic article:

Intrastate travel within Australia is also severely restricted. And the government of South Australia, one of the country’s six states, developed and is now testing an app as Orwellian as any in the free world to enforce its quarantine rules. Returning travelers quarantining at home will be forced to download an app that combines facial recognition and geolocation. The state will text them at random times, and thereafter they will have 15 minutes to take a picture of their face in the location where they are supposed to be. Should they fail, the local police department will be sent to follow up in person. “We don’t tell them how often or when, on a random basis they have to reply within 15 minutes,” Premier Steven Marshall explained. “I think every South Australian should feel pretty proud that we are the national pilot for the home-based quarantine app.”

It should be pointed out that the Atlantic article is mostly attempting to justify Australia’s “approach”, so when you see a mainstream outlet like the Atlantic calling this “Orwellian” you know this is not just the words of a self-professed Libertarian or freedom-fighter. Not that it makes any difference who is saying it really, but for many people out there it does make a difference to them who says it. As many people are unable to disconnect what’s being said from who is saying it and simply evaluate what is being said objectively, when independent journalists and people who just don’t like where the 1% want to push the rest of the world say that things are “Orwellian” or suggest that things have gone too far, they are often dismissed as crackpots, conspiracy theorists etc. This article from the Atlantic then, while loaded with totalitarian apologist waffle is important in that it’s a mainstream outlet calling this what it is.

This app that South Australians who are told to quarantine at home are being forced to use, is not only designed to be as invasive and threatening as possible, but the Premier, Steven Marshall expects the users to be “proud”. Learning to love Big Brother is part of this. These Authoritarians are not content with walking on your face wearing their Chinese-made jackboots. They want you to love them for it. They want you to be proud to have them walk on your face.

Australia early on in the colonial times was a penal colony. A prison island if you will. History really does repeat itself, and if there is one thing history has taught us, it is that history has taught most people nothing.
