Australian Government Hits New Insanity Levels
5 December 2021
So while perfectly healthy Australians are carted of by force to “quarantine camps” like Howard Springs where people are threatened with $5,000 fines for crossing lines on the floor, confined to apartments and balconies when they are not even ill, ABC news published a video of Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner stating “If you are anti-mandate, you are absolutely anti-vax”.
This COVID injection is not a vaccine. This has already been established. But for the purposes of this article, we shall use their words to demonstrate the absolute lunacy on show here.
Gunner doesn’t care if you’ve had the vaccine, apparently that’s irrelevant to him. You can be someone who has had the vaccine, and are even pro-vaccine, but if you are against mandating the vaccine you are anti-vaccine.
Just in case this outward demonstration of a politician losing the plot ends up being memory-holed by the ABC, here it is for you to see and hear…
Gunner is clearly angry, and likely scared. He jabs his finger throughout this illogical diatribe, softening only momentarily when he attempts to dress this up with the notion of “protecting the vulnerable” including the Aborigine people. Because if there’s one group of people in Australia that the Government have treated well and protected over the years it’s the indigenous peoples of Australia. Yes, that was sarcasm for the record.
Whatever your view on COVID-19 is, whatever your view on vaccines, these injections, Governments in general and even if you happen to be in favour of all of those, surely what you’d want from your Government representatives is balance, reason, rational debate and so on. Surely even the most ardent Government supporter wants their “elected” representatives to be able to speak on any topic and not end up venomously poking phrases like “I don’t care”, “stuff it, shove it” and things that literally make zero sense.
The idea you can have had jab and think others should but you agree people shouldn’t be forced makes you anti-jab is insane. If I was happy to take antibiotics that had been around for years, thought that other people who have bacterial infections could benefit from a course of antibiotics, but a new medication that was claimed to be an antibiotic but wasn’t really that was causing provable health issues and the claims around the benefits were unproven, yet I took it anyway and simply thought that other people shouldn’t be forced to take it, that makes me anti-antibiotics is obviously ridiculous.
There is something wrong with Michael Gunner and all the politicians around the world that are forcing their populations via threats of job/career losses or worse to have this injection. They attempt to disguise their hatred for people making a choice they don’t like behind “protecting the vulnerable”, the “greater good” and the like. Their anger they claim, is righteous outrage from the moral superiority they hold where the ignorant and disobedient are “a threat”. We hear these arguments all the time… “a threat to our democracy”, “a threat to public health”, “a threat to society”, all of which are a nonsense of course but they make excellent shields to hide behind, as they always did.
The Irish author C. S. Lewis, famous for books like “The Chronicles of Narnia” wrote a less famous book called “God in the Dock: Essays on Theology (Making of Modern Theology)”. Whatever your views on Christianity and/or theology are this book contains a very interesting quote…
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be “cured” against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.
C.S. Lewis, God in the Dock: Essays on Theology (Making of Modern Theology)
I cannot say if Michael Gunner is sincere or not. I have my opinions but I can’t prove anything right now one way or the other. The point is, it doesn’t matter. As C.S. Lewis described these “omnipotent moral busybodies” that wish to have us “cured” against our will and of “states which we may not regard as disease”, being perfectly healthy for example, is what Gunner and Governments all over the world are doing, and even if they believe they are going to “go to Heaven” or for the materialist/atheist types are just “doing the right thing”, they are making “a Hell of earth”.
This kind of thing needs to be resisted. Let’s resist in the strongest possible ways.
