We live in a corrupted system. The way to tackle corruption is to first acknowledge it exists. Only then is it possible to come up with ways of dealing with it, but don't make the mistake of believing the system can or will uncorrupt itself.

What’s Up?

The topic of what’s happening to the skies, the weather, climate etc. has become another highly politicised set of subjects. Years ago the adage of not discussing religion or politics in “polite company” was how one avoided potentially hot-button topics and kept things civilised as it was understood that religion and politics can and do invoke strong emotions and can lead to conflict.

I am by no means saying that we should always avoid any topics that have the potential for discord, but I do acknowledge such conversations have a time and a place. Obviously now we’re in the Current Year almost every subject has been politicised. Sport has become a place for virtue signalling about The Thing You Must Be Upset About. Comedy, especially the kind of “comedy” you find on the like of the BBC has become ultra-political.

As it happens politics itself has neatly swapped places with mainstream comedy, in that mainstream comedy is not especially funny, and is more about one-sided “activism”, allegedly punching up at the perceived Bad Things, while politics has become a complete joke, a risible caricature of itself where UK TV shows that satirised politics from years ago like Yes Minister or even Rik Mayall’s The New Statesman now appear almost too pedestrian and not even close to being outrageous enough.

Whether we consider this a case of life imitating art or just part of the natural course that any authoritarian regime ends up taking is besides the point. I am certainly not suggesting that the pomp and ceremony of yesteryear’s politics made it any more legitimate. The reality now is that due to the efforts to politicise everything as the cancer of Government inevitably spreads, the subjects of particularly British small-talk such as the weather are now part of the ever-increasing list of divisive topics.

From Conspiracy Theory to “I’ll Buy That For £50 Million”

Currently in the UK the plan to run some experiments to dim the Sun will be green-lit by the Government in a matter of weeks. Wind back just a few weeks and this was yet another Conspiracy Theory™ to be mocked and dismissed. Now that The Telegraph has reported on it (non-paywalled archive), there are people who suddenly think this is a good idea.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/04/22/experiments-to-dim-the-sun-get-green-light/

Now you might be forgiven for thinking that it has already been given the green light if you have looked up at any point in the last decade and seen something like this…

This is just very persistent condensation – Experts

But I digress.

As the Telegraph article explains, “Aria, the Government’s advanced research and invention funding agency, has set aside £50 million for projects, which will be announced in the coming weeks.” which is just wonderful news, obviously as the idea of dimming the Sun is clearly not completely mental at all. The reason it is not completely mental is because “Scientists” are proposing it.

It seems that many of the people who dismissed this as a crazy Conspiracy Theory, because clearly they thought the idea of dimming the Sun was so insane that no-one would ever propose such a thing, let alone have the Government openly fund it, are suddenly completely on board, happy to have £50 million of public money get spent on these “experiments” because “Scientists” have said it needs to be done.

It is claimed in the Telegraph article that this will be “small controlled outdoor experiments on particular approaches” which raises the question as to why its going to cost £50 million.

Another question the astute reader might have already had occur to them is this…

Thousands of acres of grassland, something that naturally takes CO2 out of the air and replaces it with oxygen at zero cost, is being replaced by millions of pounds worth of solar panels, supposedly to harness the Sun’s power, shift towards sustainable energy solutions “in the fight against climate change“.

I don’t think querying how all this, which was already foundationally unsustainable, destructive, ecologically unsound and financially irresponsible is supposed to deliver the promise of “sustainable clean energy” if we’re going to dim the Sun, is an unreasonable question to ask. Is anyone asking it? Has anyone in the UK Parliament thought to raise this minor point as the Government prepares to fund the blasting of particulates into the atmosphere while simultaneously pushing more and more energy production into things like solar farms which by definition cannot possibly function as well with less sunlight?

An idea is completely stupid, an absurdity that no-one seriously entertained and dismissed anyone pointing out that it has already been happening as a tinfoil-hat wearing wingnut, gets presented in the name of Science and suddenly let’s just give them millions of pounds to do it.

Oh yes, they’ve already been doing it. Before the “green light”, yes. Geo-engineering has been going on for a long time all over the world, but one especially noteworthy effort was the 2022 solar geo-engineering test flight in the UK are detailed on the MIT Technology Review website.

The article claims that it “was not a test of or experiment in geoengineering itself“, but obviously they did test every aspect of this system including releasing sulphur dioxide into the stratosphere. The article enthusiastically reports…

The “Stratospheric Aerosol Transport and Nucleation,” or SATAN, balloon systems were made from stock and hobbyist components, with hardware costs that ran less than $1,000.

Yes, that’s right. SATAN. You literally could not make it up, but thankfully we don’t have to as the lunatics are definitely in charge of the asylum. One of the lunatics quoted in the article, an Andrew Lockley who was apparently previously affiliated with University College London is quoted as saying:

“…I have taken a vow of silence, and can only confirm that our craft ascended to the heavens, as intended. I only hope that this test plays a small part in offering mankind salvation from the hellish inferno of climate change.”

Andrew Lockley – Person Doing a Science

It’s a good job we have clear-thinking and rational people leading the kinds of Scientific endeavours that will lead to deliberately invoking a volcanic winter, something known to cause crop failures and destabilise weather conditions, because it would probably be really really bad if this was all bonkers pseudoscience being pushed by globalist megalomaniacs, corrupted officials and scientists and the literal personification of the Chicken Little character.

The Sky Is Falling

Well it isn’t, just the same as we’re not heading towards an apocalyptic “hellish inferno” because of a trace gas that is essential to all life, and because life has previously flourished, the natural equilibrium of the system that sustains all of this has meant there is a tiny bit more of this gas. There is not just a lack of evidence that this is not the case. It makes absolutely zero sense and flies in the face of all the evidence we do have about the cycles of water/carbon-dioxide/oxygen and how this keeps everything alive.

Of course there is a pollution problem. There is a waste problem. There is a chemical problem. CO2 is not a problem. There is a reporting on what the problem is problem. When you hear about big, scary problems that require the average person having less freedom, money, happiness, choice, being alive etc. as part of the “solution” that should be a gigantic red flag waving frantically to warn you to not trust what you are being told. Without exception the big, scary things that will always deprive us always serve to enrich a small group of parasites.

The big scary things are needing to get more and more outlandish though, as one of the side-effects of perpetual traumatisation and fear is a general numbing to it all. Blast out the doom-mongering at full volume for long enough and you’ll need to turn it up even more. The politics of hysteria can only end up with the truly bizarre being screeched 24/7 and you’ll find no better example of this than the reporting on “asteroids” that are alleged to be flying close to Earth or even supposedly impact Earth. Here are a few examples of real headlines…

I can only presume this weird obsession with using animals and silly objects as some kind of unit of measurement for these alleged asteroids is intended to garner attention, any attention at all as it is crucial to someone somewhere that the public is bombarded by stories of asteroids in contrast to literal asteroids.

If you’re wondering if Smart People Doing Science will ever come up with a ridiculous plan akin to Bruce Willis as Harry Stamper in the 1998 film Armageddon where an asteroid “the size of Texas” is going to collide with Earth, then yes, yes they already have.

You can read all about it here in a paper published back in 2009 titled “A Crewed 180-Day Mission to Asteroid Apophis in 2028-2029”.

When you hear about Apophis in the news, because you probably will at some point, just when the hysteria needs dialling up a notch, remember that whatever you are expected to give up in the name of “saving the planet” is likely predicated on lies, to further enrich a small group of people who consider you tax cattle at best, and an inconveniently alive useless eater at worst.
